Aubrey has been empowering families as a Doula since 2011. As a military spouse, Aubrey has attended births all over the country and has supported a wide variety of birthing situations and locations. Her 13 years of invaluable experience includes supporting active duty Military families in Missouri, North Carolina, Texas & Indiana and serving low/no income families through nonprofit Doula organizations in Missouri (The Doula Foundation) and Texas (San Antonio Birth Doulas). Aubrey’s journey to become a doula began when she was pregnant in 2010. She began to really educate herself on all things relating to birth in order to prepare for the water-birth of her now 14 year old daughter. In doing so, a spark was ignited within her and she knew she had found her passion as a doula. In 2011, she suffered a pulmonary embolism caused by the use of hormonal birth control. While recovering, she kick started her doula career to help women become well informed of their decisions before, during, and after pregnancy. As a doula, her main goal is to help empower families to make informed decisions. No matter what a family envisions for the birth of their baby, Aubrey wants them to enter into parenthood feeling knowledgeable, supported, and at peace with how the birth unfolded.

Aubrey was just what I needed!

I had a birth plan and everything went the exact opposite of my birth plan.

Water birth unmedicated was my first ideal option: it quickly turned to induction-->epidural -->33 hours of labor --> pushing but no baby --> C-section.

Through the entire ordeal Aubrey was there and she kept me company and sat there through the night and waited through anything that happened until the arrival of the baby. If it were not for Aubrey I may not have gone through with everything so calmly. It was an outside professional source of comfort and help and security that cannot have a set price on for. Truly changed my entire birth experience and Aubrey really created ways that I could still make choices, feel like I could move forward as plans changed with confidence, and support through the change.

Thank you Aubrey for all you do!

Aubrey was kind and helpful in preparing for the birth of our daughter. Because I was induced and we knew that could take days for labor to bring us to birth, we didn't ask Aubrey to come to the hospital immediately. But when the doctor recommended a C-section after monitoring our baby's heart rate without Pitocin for 12 hours, Aubrey appeared almost immediately in our room as  the staff prepared me for the surgery. She was very encouraging and found a way to go with us into the OR, though when I had asked if she could be with us, one of the staff had said she couldn't. It was so nice for both my husband and me to have her supportive presence with us during the surgery and afterwards. She stayed with me while my husband went with our daughter to the warmer after birth. Then she stayed with my husband and helped him figure out how to hold this brand new baby as they waited for me to be wheeled out of the OR.

I had thought that hiring a doula would be a waste of money if we only ended up having a C-section but having Aubrey there was such a relief for both my husband and me when it actually came to that. Her presence is a big part of why we had a beautiful birth experience even though it didn't go the way we wanted it to go.

We got Doula for the first time with our second baby! Aubree was great! As second time father, I wish I had Aubree the first time. Aubree helped me be a better support person during labor.

If we go for baby #3, We will book Aubree as our doula again!

We can't thank Aubrey enough for all of her help throughout our pregnancy, during delivery, and postpartum. As our doula and birth educator, she was truly there every step of the way.

Prior to this baby, we had a miscarriage. So I knew that I wanted to hire a doula early on to help keep me calm and sane throughout the pregnancy. I was so excited but nervous to be pregnant again and Aubrey was amazing. I was able to text her anytime I had a question and she provided so much education and support. Her birth classes were incredible - we learned a ton and had a blast with the other couples. During delivery, Aubrey was the quiet sense of balance in the room. She answered questions and gave my husband and my mom more ways to support me during labor and delivery. Having her there helped calm my nerves because I knew that if we were unsure of any part of the process, she would be there to explain procedures and provide insight.

When I ended up needing to be induced due to last minute high blood pressure, I was nervous that I wouldn't get to use what I learned in her classes. That was far from the case! Thanks to Aubrey, I was able to  labor without an epidural for much longer than I would have otherwise. The whole labor was beautiful, empowering, and peaceful. She prayed with Michael, my mom and I before it was time to push and cheered me on every step of the way. During delivery, Aubrey got pictures and videos that we will cherish forever. She visited and supported us postpartum, too!

Today our baby girl is 2.5 months old and we love sending Aubrey pictures and updates. I know that she will be a friend for life. She was such a blessing and we are beyond grateful for her services. Mia's birth was the most incredible experience of our lives and we are so grateful that we had Aubrey to help make it the experience we dreamed of.

Aubrey is the complete balance of compassion, empowerment and tough love (when needed). She was my doula for my high-risk, twin pregnancy! This was also my first pregnancy and Aubrey was instrumental in making my pregnancy, delivery, and postpartum experience as close to ideal as possible. The natural (low intervention), empowering journey I envisioned she helped make a reality. She is prompt in communication, very knowledgeable and experienced, and has a wide network of connections. It's clear Aubrey truly loves what she does. She makes a difference and is worth the investment!
And a note for partners: my husband was skeptical about having a doula, but after our experience with Aubrey, he is completely sold! We are very grateful for her!

Aubrey was everything we didn’t know we needed in our pregnancy and birth journey. She is educated, caring and passionate about what she does and it shows in everything about her. She was there for all my questions and when our birth plan was flipped upside down and baby girl needed to be born in Indy, she didn’t hesitate to be by our side. She is a true blessing to our family and a forever friend of ours. we couldn’t be more thankful for her. I highly recommend having her join your pregnancy and birth journey!!

Aubrey was the voice of reason when my wife and I were exhausted from the birthing process. She kept us focused and motivated on the end goal. Whenever we’d get down about things not going according to our birth plan, her positivity was able to keep us positive. However you want to scale her, 5 out of 5 or 10 out of 10, Aubrey is an excellent resource!

With my first baby, I had no idea what to expect with labor. It ended up being very different from what was in the books and in the classes we had attended. We went to the hospital too early, had several interventions, ended up with an epidural that didn’t work well, etc. Overall the first labor was not a good experience, and I struggled with negative feelings about it for months afterward. I knew I wanted a different experience for bringing my second child into the world, and, before we were even pregnant, I was looking for a doula. My husband took no issue with having a Doula as he understood she would not replace him, and he did not like feeling helpless with not knowing how to help me during labor. My OB recommended Aubrey at one of our follow up visits. I appreciated the free meet and greet that Aubrey offers and that her back up Doulas were ones that were high on our list as well. During our interactions, Aubrey repeatedly told me that she is non-medical, she does not deliver babies and we understood that this was not her role. We needed a labor coach. Aubrey provided great text support pre-labor and her resources for labor meditation were essential in getting me through this labor.  I handled contractions much better this round. As things began to intensify, Aubrey arrived for in-person support. She was timing contractions and providing position and support suggestions to me and my husband. Even when labor progressed rapidly, Aubrey stayed calm and guided us through the process. Aubrey and my husband delivered the baby with my OB on the phone and EMS arriving shortly after.  Looking back, everything went exactly as I had hoped (except for the not making it to the hospital part) even down to preferred birthing position. I am very thankful that we had Aubrey to coach us and to take lead when it turned into an emergency situation. Despite things getting crazy, it was a great birthing experience and certainly one that we will never forget.

I had Aubrey for my doula with my second baby. I really appreciate how much of an effort she made to get to midwife appointments so we can all get to know each other before the birth and know that we can work well together. I would definitely recommend her and hope I can work with her again.

My husband and I welcomed our firstborn into the world in February of 2020, and Aubrey was our doula. When I found out that my very close friend would not be able to attend the birth of my baby, I wasn't sure if I would look for a doula or not. If I was going to have a doula I preferred that it be someone I knew well. I also knew that my husband would be an awesome support for me, so I considered the idea of the two of us going it alone. I'm thankful that we decided to look for a doula instead and that God led us to Aubrey. What a blessing she was (and still is)! When you're taking on a challenge as intense as pregnancy and labor/delivery, it is so nice to have someone there to guide you through! Aubrey helped us to prepare mentally by coming and teaching us about the whole childbirth process in the comfort of our own home. I asked her many questions, and she carefully and thoroughly answered them all. Aubrey makes you feel so comfortable, and she's so easy to talk to! She was always available by phone any time I had a question or concern or was just feeling worried or stressed. When I went into labor, Aubrey was there for us in ways I will never forget. Being an awesome doula is about more than just the knowledge and techniques -- Aubrey has those, and I was so thankful for them! But Aubrey brought so much more than knowledge and techniques to my birth experience. She empathized with me and cared deeply for me while remaining a calm, strong, positive support for both me and my husband no matter what obstacles we encountered or what disappointments we faced. God used Aubrey to help me stay calm, peaceful, and focused from beginning to end, even though several things didn't go the way I'd hoped they would. That is often the case when giving birth to a baby, and it really helps to have an awesome doula like Aubrey by your side. If/when we are expecting baby number two, I definitely plan on giving Aubrey a call!

We loved having Aubrey as our doula and my husband and I highly recommend her! She was a constant source of support and comfort during my pregnancy, labor, delivery and postpartum with our first baby. She was available to us 24/7 before and after our son's birth. She offered us a childbirth/ newborn class which helped us to feel prepared for our little guys arrival. She also provided me with postpartum support when complications arose with breastfeeding my son.

I was adamant that I wanted an intervention free birth in a hospital. Aubrey was amazing when I went into labor. She used massage, counter pressure techniques and a tens machine to help me get through contractions without medications. My labor lasted 26 hours and she was with us for 14 of those hours. She also took one of my favorite pictures of me holding my son for the very first time. If we have a second baby we are definitely going to ask Aubrey to be our doula again. She has become family to us.

Aubrey is fantastic!  My husband and I had our first child in 2017, and hired Aubrey as our Doula.  Having had very little experience, I wanted somoene who could educate us on everything from diaper changing to delivery.  I wanted someone that could be with us the entire time if I had a long labor, and assist my husband in making me more comfortable.  I also wanted someone that could allow my husband time to go rest and eat.  Finally, I wanted a professional who would not take anything I said while in labor personally.  Aubrey did educational classes at our home with us to help us better understand and prepare for labor, birth, and caring for an infant.  Our daughter came two weeks early, and Aubrey was there with us every step of the way.  She was on the phone with me between 12am and 5am the night I went into labor answering questions, and met us at the hospital when it was time.  I had an epidural so I could sleep, and once at 10 cm, Aubrey helped the nurses and my husband move me into different positions to help the baby decend.  I credit Aubrey for the fact that I only pushed through two contractions before our daughter was born.  The hosptial lactation consultant was gone for the day when I delivered, and Aubrey helped my daugher latch and breast feed right away by showing me different positions and tequniqes.  Aubrey took excellent notes detailing the labor and birth, and took photographs of moments during and following the birth that I cherish (moments we would not have been able to, or not remembered to capture ourselves).  Thankfully our daughter was born healthy. In the event she had needed to be transported to another hosptial for treatment...my husband and I discussed ahead of time that he would go wtih the baby, and Aubrey would stay with me.  I reccomend Aubrey's services to any expectant mother.

I have only good things to say about Aubrey. She was available any time to answer questions and work with my husband and I to prepare for our son's birth. My husband has a busy schedule and we weren't able to attend any childbirth classes, but Aubrey gave us all the information we needed during meetings leading up to my due date. When I was in early labor, Aubrey was available by phone and text messages to continuously assure me that everything was going as normal and give me tips to get through those early stages. When I decided I needed her to come over, she was quickly on her way. Throughout my labor she was a calming presence and stepped in when appropriate to offer help and guidance. After our son was born, she was also in touch to make sure things were going well and offer breastfeeding support. I would definitely recommend her.

My husband and I agree that hiring Aubrey as our doula was one of the best decisions we made during our pregnancy.  After having twins via c-section, I was hoping for a completely different experience when expecting my third.  After moving to TX from CO, I decided in my third trimester that I wanted to attempt an all natural birth and a friend suggested hiring a doula.  Aubrey was there to answer any question I had, always responding within a few minutes.  When it came time to deliver, my husband and I both had a sense of confidence about what we were about to experience that I don't believe we would have had without Aubrey being present.  Her support, positive attitude and reassurance got me through my labor and gave us the positive experience we were so hoping for!

Aubrey was a great doula! She helped me deliver my second baby. My husband missed the birth of our first child, so I knew he would need some support. I also wanted to try to give birth unmedicated, and I knew that having a doula would be important. When I went into labor, I texted with Aubrey. She headed to the hospital when I did, even though I had only started having contractions about an hour earlier. When she arrived, the nurses had me hooked up to the contraction monitor and were giving me fluids, thinking I was dehydrated because the contractions were close together. Aubrey kept telling them that my contractions were productive and the monitor wasn't in the right place, so they weren't giving me credit. She really gave me hope, because it felt like hard labor at that point. Things moved quickly and I was having contractions almost non-stop. Aubrey did amazing counterpressure and talked calmly into my ear with encouraging and calming words. When I started feeling ready to push (and freaked out), she stayed calm. When my water sac was bulging, she got the nurses moving. After the baby was born, she took beautiful photos of baby's first moments that I'll cherish forever. She also did a nice follow-up visit. I would definitely recommend Aubrey!

Aubrey played an essential role in the birth of my son! She offered so much education and support throughout my pregnancy, birth, and postpartum period that was invaluable! She's very knowledgable and was available to me whenever I had any questions or concerns throughout my pregnancy. I chose to do an all-natural birth and she helped me stick to my birth plan without ever being pushy. She also reassured my husband, who suffers from PTSD, and helped him keep calm during my labor and delivery, which I was so thankful for! After my son was born, she was there for me with breastfeeding and newborn tips and, as a new mom, this was very helpful.

Overall, Aubrey is professional, knowledgable, and so easy to work with! She made it clear to me upfront that whatever my birth plan was, she was there to support me in my decisions and would be involved at whatever level I was comfortable with. I loved my experience with her!

Aubrey was absolutely wonderful! From the very beginning, she was so helpful in providing information and letting us know what to expect. She answered every question we had and made us feel at ease about the whole process. It was so helpful having her at the hospital with us and making sure I was as comfortable as I could be. My husband was grateful for her help and support as well. Hiring a doula was one of the best decisions we made and we couldn't have found a better doula than Aubrey!

Aubrey was recommended by a friend/coworker who was using her as well. My husband and myself just moved to Texas and we had no family or knew what to expect when expecting as this is our first child. I felt completely comfortable with Aubrey and having medical issues myself she researched them to learn more about what I could be facing when it was time for labor. My labor started around 145 am after tracking contractions to be sure it was labor I called her, it was 230 am and she was at my house by 4. She talked to me, calmed my nerves and discussed what was next. She followed us to hospital and was there every step of the way. Although I had the epidural and wasn't able to walk or sit on a birth ball, she helped me get comfortable in the bed and massage my hips as they were hurting. Once it was time to push she was very encouraging throughout every push and directed me on what to do next. Once baby was here, she snapped some photos and stayed until I was cleaned up and baby was okay. She has checked in on me every day and is still encouraging me and offering help. I highly recommend Aubrey and I couldn't imagine labor without her!

Aubrey was amazing. I contacted Aubrey for her doula services because my husband was in Afghanistan when I had my baby and I didn't have any family near. She came and picked me up from home and took me to the hospital for delivery. I had back labor and she provided some pain-relieving pressure massages to my lower back. I wound up having a medication free delivery and she was a great comfort, reminding me of relaxation techniques. She was a calm presence, she knew where to take me, how to talk to the nurses, and she stayed with me until I was settled after the delivery. She took pictures and she held my hand during the worst parts. I was able to concentrate on just having the baby, because I knew she would take care of everything else. My delivery was normal but my baby was very sick, and we didn't know she was until I had her. Aubrey handled it very well and remained calm, helping me to stay calm. She offered to drive me to the hospital that my baby had been transferred to and she followed up with me often to see that my baby was okay. Aubrey is kind, professional, and knowledgeable about having babies and all that comes with it. She's a great choice for a doula, you won't be disappointed.

Aubrey was a great source of support for me during a difficult pregnancy while my husband was deployed.  It was amazing to have her kindness and support there for me.  It was a privilege having here there with me at the birth of my daughter.  She was wonderful and also provided us with very special pictures of our family.  There is no way for me to thank her enough for everything she did.  I highly recommend her services.

I had my baby girl almost three weeks ago. Aubrey was there with be from the very beginning of labor-literally from the first contraction. Unfortunately I had to be induced due to some blood pressure issues. Thank goodness Aubrey was there to give me some backbone ; ] I was able to make it to the end with no IV medication and no epidural!! That was my main goal, besides having a healthy baby of course. There was no way I could have done it without her there to help me refocus when I started to panic a little... or a lot. I had back labor pretty much the entire time and she rubbed my back for what must have been hours with the best smelling lotion in the world. I felt constantly reassured and empowered by her. Even in the middle of my hardest contractions just knowing I had her there for me and hearing her say, "breathe" was a HUGE help and so reassuring.

Also I want to say that she was not just there during the birth, but 24/7 during my entire pregnancy. Any questions I had about anything would be answered for me almost immediately by call text or email. Then after the birth we received even more love and support in the form of a printed and emailed birth story, pictures of the birth and a home visit! I bet if I needed anything today she would be on her way in a instant. Thats just the kind of person Aubrey is.

I could go on and on about how awesome Aubrey is/was and how I would NEVER have another baby without a doula, but my baby girl is starting to whine for some boob. : ]

Aubrey was my doula for my first childbirth back in April and she was AWESOME. I had a pretty easy pregnancy until the end when my doctors started giving me grief about the "need" to induce. Aubrey was there to not only listen to me vent but gave me great advice and encouragement. She helped me write an awesome birth plan that I believe was VERY helpful for the hospital staff when the time came. She never questioned any of my decisions. She supported me in everything I wanted and gave advice when I asked. She came immediately after I made the call to her that my water broke. My husband was not able to be at the birth but, Aubrey did an amazing job of being there and helping me through not only physically but emotionally as well. She coached me through labor and helped me get in different positions to help move my labor along as well as make me as comfortable as possible. She was by my side the ENTIRE time. She stayed calm, professional, and encouraging through the whole thing.  With Aubrey's help, I was able to have a natural birth just like I had envisioned.

She even took some awesome pictures so my husband will be able to see :) She visited me after my daughter was born to make sure baby and I were both doing well. She was GREAT all around :)
