We were so overjoyed to have Jean in our corner for the birth of our daughter. As a second time mom, I immediately appreciated how at ease Jean made me. I was worried and anxious imagining a hopeful VBAC after a disappointing c section during the height of early COVID with our first. With so much patience, knowledge and grace, we walked through the physical and emotional range of experiences and considerations to put together my goals for a peaceful birth and postpartum experience rooted in agency. She showed how much she values her work and the role of family with such comforting advice about bringing a newborn home with a 3 yr old. She was available and consistently accessible for any and all questions, shared resources and links like a guided birth meditation and didn't wince when I sent graphic photos and emotional texts at all hours of the day and night in a 6 day predermal labor. Jean ultimately was right there for pushing holding one of my legs and helping the nurse, OB and my husband as a critical part of the always on care chair team. We highly recommend working with Jean!

Jean played an amazing role in supporting my pregnancy, my unmedicated labor and post partum. She spent the time to understand who I am and to make me hear exactly what I needed at the various stages. She helped me build a birth plan that reflected what could work best for me and made sure to advocate for it. She was quite responsive whenever I reached out to her. I had fears going into labor and she never failed to help me dig through where they could have come from so I could use these thoughts to empower me through pregnancy and birth. When labor time came, she was there at the hospital before and did not leave my side till my baby was born and till she made sure we were ok. I left my home in early labor because I was not comfortable laboring near my children. She took laps around the hospital with me and did all possible things to help me progress in labor. She then helped me labor in the tub and when transition time came she was ready with tricks to help me cope with contractions, including stress ball, certain pressure points and at times using robozo. She mentally prepared me and would adapt her approach to how I felt at the time, even if at times it meant silence. She had a relaxing environment set up and helped integrate my spouse in this beautiful birthing journey. When pushing time came, she was a rock. I would derive strength just from the eye contact we shared. She coached with strength and confidence. Overall I had the most meaningful birth where I discovered pathways of strength. I couldn't have done that without her.

I could not have wished for a better birth doula than Jean. When I gave birth, everything happened so much faster than anyone would have expected. We made it to the hospital only 20 minutes before our baby was born, and in this indescribable situation Jean was the only one whose calm, clear, and loving words really got through to me.

Jean was absolutely fantastic in helping me process the whole experience in the hours and weeks that followed. Right after our baby was born, Jean had the best instinct for all those little details that I never asked for, but that were just wonderful - like some hot tea to drink, a warm blanket wrapped around me, noise-cancelling earphones to help me relax a bit, just to name a few. Days later, she even wrote down her recollection of the birth in a very detailed and loving way, which has allowed me to fill in some important puzzle pieces I had been missing.

I cannot reccomend Jean enough. I am so, so grateful for all her loving support on this journey.

What a difference a doula makes! Having had a prior traumatic birth experience, it was very important to me to have as much support as possible during my second labor and delivery. Jean was amazing every step of the way. She helped me mentally, physically, and emotionally by developing a support plan, guiding my partner, advocating for me with the healthcare team, and coaching me through labor. She knew when to be involved and when to step back and give me and my husband time to connect. Jean provided ideas while not overstepping the medical team. Her advice allowed me to have a vaginal delivery shortly after I was told I needed a c-section. Most importantly, she was a calming presence throughout, she created a relaxing and loving environment for us, and I felt very safe in her care. I highly recommend her!

I made the decision to hire a doula pretty late in the game (somewhere in my third trimester).  With that said, I still saw so much value in having a doula in my corner - especially Jean! She was so kind and patient through every step of the process.  She sat down with me and my husband and went over all of the possible outcomes, hurdles, or suggestions that could be thrown our way at the hospital.  It really opened my eyes to options I didn't know existed.  Jean was there for me both physically and emotionally and it was really great to have her around, as much as I love my husband.  Would recommend her services to anyone!

We started working with Jean several months before our due date. She expertly walked us through the process of deciding what our birth preferences were in a way that was completely non-judgemental and supportive of all types of goals for our birthing process, while also giving us the necessary materials and time/space to think about what we wanted. She asked great questions to determine what kind of environment and emotional support I was looking for for the birth, which was something I was having a harder time figuring out before her help. She was a wonderful sounding board during the final few weeks of labor and often checked in to see how we were doing, which was very appreciated. During several days of prodromal labor, she was an awesome resource as a listening ear, guidance on ways to encourage active labor, and when to give our medical providers a call.

During our time at the hospital, Jean was absolutely amazing. She made our delivery room (which was in triage as the "real" rooms were full!) a comfortable 'den' for laboring and was amazing at anticipating needs without either me or my birth partner asking (or often even realizing what we needed). Her experience led her to call in our midwife when necessary, which was not something my birth partner would have known to do or even been able to as he was helping me through every contraction. It was so wonderful to have another pair of hands and Jean's calm and reassuring presence throughout the delivery. Her affirming words throughout were incredibly motivating and absolutely helped us achieve our goal of an unmedicated vaginal delivery.

We unreservedly recommend Jean to anyone looking for someone knowledgeable and helpful to support their journey.

Jean was from our first phone call through our last postpartum visit a true pleasure to work with. Jean truly transformed what could be a traditionally stressful experience into a pleasurable one. Jean allowed me to remain rest assured that she'd do everything in her power to create a safe and positive space for my labor and delivery. Jean helped me create a comprehensive birth plan and was very thorough on every detail knowing I was a worried first time mom. Inviting Jean into my life and to be part of my birthing experience was a decision I'll never regret. In fact, I'm happy I decided last minute to move forward with. I attribute my beautiful birthing experience with Jean by my side to her calming and nurturing skills. Jean is a godsent.

When delivering in the hospital, the doctors and nurses are not focused on the emotional well-being of the parents, so it was important for us to have someone with experience in births to support us through the experience. Jean was very supportive to my husband and I through the pregnancy and birth of our son. We met with Jean in advance to connect and discuss our birth plan which helped us to feel more comfortable as we prepared. She frequently reached out to check-in with us, ask if we had any questions, and send birth affirmations – which I always appreciated. Despite a fast labor, Jean was there with us from the beginning – communicating our birth plan, helping us to understand what was happening and helping us make decisions throughout the labor, delivery and recovery. After our son was born and we went home from the hospital, Jean was very compassionate in helping me process the birth and emotionally heal from the experience.

Jean was a blessing to have during my first birth and I would recommend her to anyone looking for a doula.  I wanted someone to help me advocate for myself; that is exactly what she did.  She reviewed different strategies with me on how to ask the physicians for more information before proceeding with an intervention and how to request time to consider my options.  This was invaluable when complications came up.  But what felt even more impactful was how she was able to help me through labor with breathing, different positions, and creating a positive environment.  Jean's support didn't end after delivery. She stayed with me and my husband in the delivery room for several hours to help us process everything that happened.  She consistently checked in with me to see how I was doing and offer support.  Weeks after delivery, Jean helped me find a wonderful perinatal therapist.  I cannot explain enough how grateful I am to have been matched with Jean.

Jean was truly a blessing to our family! As first time parents, my husband and I were nervous and uncertain about what to expect. Jean met with us prior to the birth to discuss our birth plan and answer our questions. As soon as we met her, we felt comforted by her warm and calm presence. She went out of her way to check in on us and answer any questions that came up (even postpartum!). Jean made herself available to visit us at home in the evenings. When we went into labor, Jean was immediately available and present (despite having attended a birth just the night before!). When she arrived at the hospital, my husband and I felt the boost of support we needed to realize our ideal birth plan. She advocated for our birth preferences, allowed my husband to be fully present, coached me through breathing, transformed the triage delivery room into a peaceful space, photographed the birth, and even cut our baby’s cord. My husband and I would highly recommend Jean as a doula. We are so very grateful for her!

This was our first pregnancy and we couldn't have asked for anyone better! We strongly recommend Jean  for ANYONE looking for a Doula! Let’s just say if it wasn’t for her I don’t think I would have ever been able to go through with a natural birth! From our first phone call I instantly realized how kind, gentle, and knowledgeable she was. I felt an entire sense of relief and relaxation regarding the birth process (and my birth wishes after meeting with her). Having her available 24/7 to text or call with any random questions was very comforting. Jean would always reach out and guide me through the pregnancy process with her knowledge and always had informative responses.  

When it came down to giving birth, Jean was there within minutes! My birth was long and she was by my side the entire 24 hours giving me nothing but positive, calm, and gentle vibes. She also gave me reassuring thoughts and breathing techniques from start to finish. Hiring Jean was priceless and had completely fulfilled my expectations from start to finish. I wouldn’t have wanted anyone else to be part of our journey into welcoming our baby boy, she was an absolute blessing and such a wonderful soul!!

Jean is a wonderful Doula. I cannot say enough good things about her. Her attitude and passion for her job was very clearly displayed on our first meeting. I felt so comfortable with her as soon as we met. She is so warm and very knowledgeable. Her communication with me throughout my pregnancy was great and even after. Jean was extremely helpful and attentive helping me manage my fears and anxiety before my planned Csection and I don't know what I would have done without her and her support. She helped me communicate with hospital staff and she had so many tools and suggestions that I never would have thought about or known about without her. Jean is truly the best. My family and I are blessed and feel very grateful to have her be part of our story.

Jean was a wonderful birth doula. She is caring,patient, reliable, emotionally present, passionate, flexible, empathetic, professional, non-judgmental, and humble. 

She is professional at supporting all aspects of my health: emotionally, mentally , psychologically and physically. She makes a big difference in my life by helping me to make wise choices for the Birth plan, and therefore I was able to deliver a healthy beautiful baby with minimal pain. After a traumatic first delivery, Jean offered gentle guidance, love, and patience until I felt ready to give birth again. Even when things with my twin pregnancy turned urgent and I had to have a C section, she was there to help me navigate the big feelings. She had flameless candles and essential oils being diffused in pre op and rubbed my back, helping me speak up as the dozens of providers came in and out to prep me. She helped advocate for a gentle cesarean, and hugged me tightly before I went into the OR to meet my babies. Even when they whisked away my tiny IUGR girl away, and my son was having trouble transitioning, I was able to surrender and trust the doctors. Trust in anyone had been impossible when I met Jean. I had to surrender to many things that I said didn't want while planning for their birth, but I was able to remember all the conversations I'd had with Jean and allow the providers to care for us. Thanks to Jean helping me stay focused on their health and the positives, instead of feeling anger when I couldn’t nurse right away, I was grateful I had expressed colostrum for them and happy that they were fed. I let the walls fall away. When I was able to go to our recovery room with both babies in my arms, Jean got to hold them, and take pictures of my son's first latch, of him snuggling my partner while I held my baby girl. She took an experience that could have been traumatic for me, and helped me see all the beautiful things instead. I felt joy, peace, trust and safety. She held me together through a difficult pregnancy, held me before the surgery, and held me after. I felt deeply cared for by Jean. I am eternally grateful for her.

I had Jean as my doula with the birth of my second child after having a traumatic labor/delivery with my first. During this pregnancy I knew I was going to need the extra support, someone with knowledge/expertise, and someone to advocate for me in ways my husband and I could not. I am SO glad we picked Jean. She is so compassionate and invested in her clients, I knew I could trust her. During my labor/birth she helped me in so many ways, including putting me in positions to help me labor and push the baby further down, she helped me make medical decisions i was sure about and helped me relay my questions to the team, and when I was delivering the baby she was the one who suggested a position that ultimately allowed the baby come out! Overall, Jean was the best choice for me and my husband for this birthing experience. If you choose her you will not regret it. She makes you feel like you're her only client. Thank you Jean!

Jean was an absolutely kind, loving and guiding doula. I don't think I could have done it without her. Im very thankful for everything that she has done for me. I have been going through a hard time through my marriage and pregnancy, but Jean was always there for me. Counseling me on being emotionally, mentally and physically healthy for the sake of my baby. I am blessed to have had her in my pregnancy journey and delivery room. I could not done it without her through on the days when I could not eat solids and my contractions on and off. She helped me not lose sight off my pregnancy and my baby. She questioned all the unanswered questions I had to the doctors and nurses. The hardest part was accepting that I had to have a C-section and Jean was so nurturing that everything was going to be okay no matter what happens as long as the baby is safe. Unfortunately my husband could y not be there for me emotionally, mentally and physically, but I had the best doula. Jean not only filled in when my husband was absent on supporting me through my pregnancy, she was loving and words could not describe how thankful I truly am. When baby Preston grows up I will always remind him how brave I was during my pregnancy and delivery because I had the best support from Jean. So again without Jean I could not have done it. Thank you for giving me a great, loving and kind doula.
